DOK.network Africa – Africa Day
DOK.network Africa has been bringing the newest African documentary cinema productions to Munich for the past five years. Through this, time and again the question of the young generation of filmmakers has been raised. At the 5th Africa Day three emerging filmmakers from Gabon, South Africa and Kenya will celebrate the German premieres of their debut films and discuss with experts the future of African documentary film.
From a boxing ring to a nightclub, Amédée Pacôme Nkoulou’s account of the upcoming elections and hope for political change in Libreville, Gabon is told with great intuition. In the end everything remains the same; only the young people look for happiness elsewhere.
