Munich is the hometown of the film makers whose works are collected in the Munich premiers. Much that is happening around us is not perceived or only partly seen. The Munich premiers take that into focus.

Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. As a young adult, Xenia Sigalova went with her parents to the West. Almost two decades later she returns and hardly recognises her home country. Nowadays she is a filmmaker – what has happened to her friends?
The film will be screened with English subtitles.
Xenia Sigalova – Voronezh, Russia, 1980
After her highschool degree she studied Graphic Design at the arts college in Voronezh, before she migrated to Germany in 1998. She graduated in documentary filmmaking at the University of Television and Film Munich in 2018. Her current feature documentary film MY RUSSIAN SPRING is her diploma project. Besides her studies she worked for German Television.
