For teachers: Online introduction to the Schule des Hörens

The concept behind SHORT FILM DAY: Short films on the shortest day of the year, 21 December, all across the country, coordinated by AG Kurzfilm – the Federal Association of German Short Films. The campaign period now spans seven days: From 15 to 21 December 2026, DOK.education will join in the celebration by reopening the online theater of the Schule des Hörens with a fresh new look!

Whether in a movie theater or a classroom, at a cultural center or an after-school program: The film MARIAN UND DIE WALDRAPPE and its accompanying media education program are suitable for grades 3 through 8.

The online cinema is largely self-explanatory. The introduction to the Schule des Hörens provides a brief overview of the platform, presents examples of how the visual exercises can be implemented in the classroom using the film and answers individual questions.

Our teacher trainings are held in German language.
