Diego Briceño

Diego Briceño is a Colombian-born media-maker who has worked for over 15 years as a director, producer and editor on social documentaries, fiction and crossmedia in Montreal. Driven by narrative, ethics and collaboration, his work often focuses on issues of exploitation, empowerment and North-South relations. He has directed 5 documentaries, including a documentary series, and one short fiction, which have all played in television and/or shown at national and international film festivals. In recent years, he has developed a strong interest in participatory and interactive media through a series of crossmedia projects, one produced by the NFB and others now in development with Makila. He has a BFA in Cinema and a Graduate Certificate in Digital Technologies and Design Art Practice from Concordia University.
