Said Gougaz is based in Casablanca, Morocco. After three years of field work as a still photographer, he joined the Mid-Euro Italian School of Film-Making in Ouarzazate. He graduated as Director of Photography in 2005. From 2006 Said completed documentary directing workshops offered by DFG, BBC and Aljazeera Documentary, while continuously working as a film maker and producer. His passion for travel as well as his work experience all over the world enriched his ideas to create various documentary films, summing up the stories and adventures he is confronted with in his daily life.
