Guylaine Maroist is an award-winning Canadian filmmaker. She is well known for her documentary productions such as Time Bombs, The Disunited States of Canada, Gentilly or Not To Be and the political satire God Save Justin Trudeau. Her filmmaking career has been marked by her strong political and social commitment. She is president of Productions de la Ruelle, a documentary film production company based in Montreal. In 2011, she received the Governor General’s History Award. Other recognitions for her work include the VIFFF d'Or (Vevey Film Festival in Switzerland), the selection of her documentary God Save Justin Trudeau at Vision du Réel (competition for Sesterce d’Argent), and a nomination at the Japan Prizes. She was awarded the Gold Ribbon Award (Canada) and numerous Gémeaux Awards.
