Alina Fichter

Alina Fichter works at Bayerischer Rundfunk’s television department, and is currently primarily engaged with strategic questions of digital distribution. Previously, she was a media editor at Die ZEIT in Hamburg, writing e.g. about the YouTube generation and the key role of streaming services for the future of television. After her diploma in economics and a formation at Deutsche Journalistenschule, Fichter began her career in the Süddeutsche Zeitung’s business section. She spent two years in Latin America and one in France. Fichter will start her John S. Knight Fellowship in Stanford in summer of 2016 and will continue tweeting about media and other disruptive issues as @fichtalina.
