Jury DOK.deutsch 2011

This jury will select the winner of the DOK.deutsch competition and the FFF-Documentary-Talent-Award

JUTTA HÖCHT-STÖHR
Studied Evangelical Theology in Heidelberg and Tübingen. From 1983-1991 she was the director of studies at the Forum für Junge Erwachsene at the Evangelischen Akademie Tutzing. From 1991-2001 she was chaplain at the TU and the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität in Munich. Since 2001 she has been the director of the Evangelische Stadtakademie München (www.evstadtakademie.de). Areas of expertise: inter-religious and intercultural dialogue, theology and art, the church and the city.

MARGRET KÖHLER
Studied French and English Language in Paris/London and Political Science (Dipl.sc.pol.) and Educational Science (M.A.) at Munich LMU.  She has been employed as a researcher, among other roles, at the Munich LMU; she has written various research papers and worked as a book publisher, editor of academic journals and lecturer at the German Journalism School. She has been a member of national and international juries. In addition she works as a freelance film journalist for, among others, Blickpunkt:Film, Film-Dienst and AZ München.

FIDELIS MAGER, Producer/Managing Director of Megaherz, Munich.
Born in 1962 in Munich, Mager studied German Studies and Theatre Studies at LMU (discontinued); in 1982 he became an editor and writer at the Munich Stadtzeitung; in 1984 he was a founding member of “Live aus dem Alabama”; in 1986 he established the company Text & Bild and was employed there until 1998 as a writer, producer and executive producer. Since 1999, together with the filmmaker Franz X. Gernstl, he has been the owner and managing director of megaherz gmbh film und fernsehen. His areas of expertise are the production of documentary film and serial documentary formats. Fidelis Mager and megaherz productions have won several awards (Deutscher Filmpreis, Bayerischer Filmpreis, Bayerischer Fernsehpreis, Adolf-Grimme-Preis and more).

LUCAS SCHMIDT, Producer ZDF, Mainz
Schmidt studied Contemporary History, Political Sciences and Law in Germany, UK and USA. During his studies he was already working as a writer for numerous TV channels (Vox, 3sat, ZDF) and various film and TV productions. Since 1997 he has been a producer on the ZDF series "Das kleine Fernsehspiel" and is, among other things, responsible for the development of new television formats within the "Quantum" framework. Above all, he leads the Munich Script Workshop.

DAVID WEGMÜLLER, Solothurn Film Festival
Born in 1977 in Morges, Wegmüller studied German Studies and Journalism in Fribourg and Trieste. He now works as a freelance journalist and translator. Since 2006 he has carried out various roles at the Solothurn Film Festival, including: programme director of the European section, “Passages;” member of the selection committee for the “Forum Schweiz;” overall programme coordinator and press officer for the festival.
