DOK.fest goes Pinakothek der Moderne

In cooperation with the Pinakothek der Moderne (Die Neue Sammlung – The Design Museum), we present three films related to sport and the Olympic Games as part of the exhibition "DESIGN FOR OLYMPIA" and this year's 50th anniversary of the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. Beforehand, documentary pre-films by students of the Faculty of Design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences will be shown, which take the exhibition as an opportunity to delve into topics such as gender, equal rights or inclusion.

The third film we will show is the sports documentary RUN LIKE A GIRL, which was screened in the DOK.panorama series at DOK.fest München in 2020.
Supporting film: OLYMPIC WOMEN (DE 2022, Paula Buchta, Laura König-Svetozarova, Friederike Wagner, Fabi Lou Sax, Ayca Noel Tari): The short film tells the story of women in the male-dominated world of competitive sport through the experiences of Olympic athletes Heide Rosendahl, Ulrike Meyfarth, Christiane Krause, Sarah Voss and coach Shanna Poljakova.

Venue of the screening: Ernst-von-Siemens-Auditorium (Lecture Hall in the Pinakothek der Moderne, Barer Straße 40, 80333 Munich)

Admission: 7,50 euros
