Zeynep Güzel, who has managed Turkey's first private documentary fund, programmed the industry workshop series !f Doc Lab from 2016 to 2019 in the scope !f Istanbul Independent Film Festival and is the workshop experts on storytelling, international grant writing and funding strategies at the Toolbox program by Berlinale EFM since 2020 will give advice and discuss all questions you may have.

Filmmaker, Workshop expert and trainer

Zeynep Güzel managed Turkey's first documentary fund called the New Film Fund (Yeni Film Fonu) until 2019. She programmed the industry workshop series !f Doc Lab from 2016 to 2019 in the scope !f Istanbul Independent Film Festival. Her debut experimental documentary 'Come Rain or Shine' premiered in 2019 at the 38th Istanbul Film Festival. She is one of the workshop experts on storytelling, international grant writing and funding strategies at the Toolbox program by Berlinale EFM since 2020. She has been working as workshop expert and trainer on a regular basis on industry platforms like Her-Docs Documentary Film Festival, DOK Leipzig Industry and Meetings on the Bridge. She has been a senior consultant at the Documentary Association of Europe (DAE) since its foundation. She is now working on her first narrative feature film called ‘When the Sun Comes Out’.
