Award Winner & DOK.fest Award of the SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit

The DOK.fest Award of the SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit is sponsored by B.O.A.Videofilmkunst and endowed with 3,000 Euros. This year's award goes to Simon Lereng Wilmont for his film THE DISTANT BARKING OF DOGS. “Rarely there has been a story about a grandmother and her grandchild told so poetically”, the jury stated. “A majestic and deeply moving lovestory, that visualises everyday life of war children.”
