While Trump casts doubt on climate change, in Alaska, as the permafrost melts at an ever-increasing rate, a town is sinking into the sea. Marceline Loridan-Ivens, survivor from Birkenau and later actress, filmmaker and writer, was a rebel all her life. Courageous, angry and radical she started her first movies under the influence of the Nouvelle Vague. Later she moved around the world with the legendary documentary film pioneer Joris Ivens, her second husband, and made political films.
